American Tulip Tree is native to North America.
It is a fast-growing tree and can reach around 160 feet in height. The flowers are pale green or yellow in colour with an orange band on the tepals and bloom in May and June
Birds and bees are attracted to its flowers as they yield large quantities of nectar.
It is the state tree of Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee in USA. George Washington, the first President of USA planted these trees at Mount Vernon, Virginia that are now 140 feet tall.
