Ceylon Oak

It can grow to over 20 meters or 65 feet tall and is host to “”Kusumi Lac”” that is native to India.

Its seeds are the source of kusum oil. This oil is used as a hair oil, in cooking and lighting and in traditional medicine for skin issues.

It is called kusum in Hindi and kusumb in Marathi. ”
