Biodiversity in Rainforests

“Rainforests are characterized by high rainfall, with annual rainfall between 250 and 450 centimetres.

They support a very broad array of fauna, including mammals, reptiles, birds and invertebrates. It is believed that more than half of the world’s species of plants and animals are found in the rainforests.

Sources say that there are more species of fish in the Amazon Rainforests than in the Atlantic Ocean.”
