| The Spindle Tree is popular for its bright pink or purple fruits! It gets its name from a wool spindle (used for spinning wool), where its wood was used for making spindles. It can grow up to 20 feet or 6 meters high and popular in gardens for its attractive autumn colours. Parts of it are harmful and have been used in traditional medicine to treat cold. |
